Need help choosing new island lighting and counter stools

We are making some updates to our 6 year old modern kitchen. I am looking for advice on picks for new island lighting and comfortable, kid-friendly but modern counter stools. We are changing our island from 2 tier to a flat island so need new counter stools. Any other thoughts on small tweaks are appreciated too.

Also,the counter top microwave is going away. Built in micro is broken so borrowed that one.

Sorry - can't copy over a photo, but the island unit "added on" to the existing one was just for children and I thought it was really stylish.

I recently put these Lantern & Scroll http://www.houzz.com/pro/lanterns/lantern-scroll lanterns in my Kitchen and I absolutely love them (they have a smaller size). They really made the room. They were awesome to work with and great pricing. Cheers!
