I would put a large wool sisal-look rug under the sectional and layer a hide on top.

Hide do you think lighter colored one would wrk r darker hide ?

Keeping the color scheme you have in mind I would suggest bringing pops of color through pillows and a rug. Below I have pinned items which will add lots of character to your living room. Because you have a large sectional I recommend selecting petite chairs, you can use one or two in your space. I also recommend selecting a throw pillow with pattern and color, you can add more color by purchasing other pillows that pick up the colors within the pillow with pattern. I would then recommend finishing the room by using a neutral paint color and purchasing a rug that has a nice blend of the other colors in the throw pillows or other accessories.

I have used a tricolor hair-on-hide rug in several designs in the past. This would look lovely in your room with the gray walls, dark wood flooring and camel colored sofa. It is listed as just "tricolor", but most of them are cream, brown, black and shades of gray. The photo I attached is on ebay, but they are widely available. Good luck!
