How do you do the casing for the arch? We have several arches like this in our home and would like to put the cased molding on them but not sure how to do it. Thanks

There are several ways to make curved moldings. If you plan on painting them, google "flexible moldings" to see different manufacturers.

Good point, that's absolutely true. In fact can be designed and routed using a CNC router and depending on the thickness of the MDF some profiles would not have to be a separate assembly.

    Thanks! We'll look into that

This might be to late, but we provide prefabricated Arched Openings to do exactly what you are after. We have standard sizes and shapes, but can also make custom arches to cover existing sheetrock. Feel free to give us a call if you have questions. www.GrandOpenings1.com

Great to see my question answered - well, mostly. More specifically, is there a cost difference with doing a framed archway as is displayed above versus an unframed archway? DId you consider simply leaving the drywall unframed? Great job, btw!!
