One thing that I see right off the bat is that you could make your walk though open from both ends (looking at 2nd draft) so that you can access from either the bathroom or the bedroom . I also like the 2nd one because you have space for some seating or a fireplace with out getting in the way of doors

Just to give you another viewpoint, I prefer the plan to the left. I believe entering the room and looking across a large space toward the bed will make the room feel more open and spacious. With regard to the plan, consider whether you really need a door into the bathroom. Since you have a door to the toilet compartment and since the bathroom is located far from the bedroom entry door, privacy might not be so critical here. Providing a wall opening of at least 36" instead of a door will go a long way toward visually opening up the space. I would then relocate the closet door so that it opens into the bathroom. Doing so will give you greater opportunities to plan a TV viewing and sitting area in the niche you have planned.

Are you on the same sleeping/waking schedule? My hubby and I are about 3 hours apart sleeping/waking. I'm a very light sleeper, so if we didn't have a door on our bathroom, he'd be waking me up every time he went in there to brush his teeth, etc, not to mention when he turns on the lights for the middle-of-the-night visits. Just something to think about.

This is just a quick sketch for an option using the area from the left plan. It allows for a larger vanity area with 42" tower for towels, toiletries, hair dryers, etc. The toilet room stays separate, there is a soaking tub with a possible window above, and a walk-in shower with frameless enclosure.
