Purple

Are you keeping the clay colored wall? If so, consider it as an accent for the rug.

Yes, it's a joke but I think it really exists! On a serious note, what are some accent colors that you like, in general?

how about something like one of these?

There are warm tones in the stonework, so why not add more warmth with a coloured rug? It is too easy to think 'oh, I can only use x colour!!'

thanks you guys. Karemore55 i had a neutral rug already but it blended to much with the tile. oneofeleven Thanks for the ideas I love the last one! originally i tried the teals and neutral flower rug but i git tiered of the bold flowers. i just want to change the look of my living room and i really like these pillows.

Hi Matilde, It sounds like you don't want to go neutral? The only way I can see a patterned rug working with your stone FP is if you pull from the stone either the purple or the browns/grays. Your FP is an important focal point and is dictating your room colors to you!

If you pull the purples from the stone, which would look nice with your furniture, you will need to change your wall color. Below are some, purple rugs, as well as one brown/black/beige rug - some,of these might work.

Two more.

How about bringing in some color and pattern with a traditional rug like this
