I made the shelving from standard plumbing fittings and pipes (from Home Depot or any other hardware store). The shelves are made from MDF. It is relatively easy to assemble and very cost effective!

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I didn't get a chance to photograph the full system. The right side of the system is symmetrical to the left end of the shelving unit. The MDF planks are 3' long and supported by the same plumbing hardware detail. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

You mentioned plumbing hardware. Was the piping pre threaded or did you have to cut and thread each piece?

Depending on the length you need, some hardware stores stock standard lengths that are pre-threaded. In my case, I used a longer than standard length so I got them cut and threaded to the length I needed at Home Depot. Hope that helps!
