We play charades with friends and family. No one takes it too serious thank goodness because my better half is soooooo bad at playing but is so entertaining for us to watch that we just sit back and watch the show. Poor thing is exhausted by the end of the night. We usually play in the family room , lots of room for that sort of thing.

Our favorite activity when the family is home together are games. We always try to play something new and then play a favorite. Our dining table is big enough to hold all of us with plenty of room. But if we play a charades style game, then the big living room is the place.

We used to play Canasta, a card game when I was a child...I missed those winter nights with a cup of hot tea....and cookies !

I don't need a room to play games. Playing Lexulous all throughout the day on my computer.

It's a scrabble type game and very addictive. If you like crosswords/scrabble you will love it.

We play scrabble, crib, backgammon for the adults and battleship for the kids, every time the family are all together, spread out in kitchen/ family room. Fun!

Games are indispensable in our family, especially word games. Prospective in-laws are vetted through a family game night. When our grown children visit, we play Things or Balderdash in the family room. However, since they are presently scattered over four time zones, we play Psych on our Apple devices. It is almost as fun as being together.

I really enjoy an escape room with friends — it’s like the ultimate game night, full of puzzles and teamwork!

Yes we regularly play cards/board games with family or friends. The dining room table works best for everyone reaching, being comfortable, staying near the snack buffet. We always played with our offspring as they grew then they took the habit out into the world and created friend groups that gather for all sorts of games. We are often learning at least one new game at each event as everyone brings their latest obsession or the new one they thought we all might enjoy. One of my daughters is bffs with a man who tests new board/card games, 'professionally'. It's a very hot industry. We've enjoyed watching some of them rise to popularity.

I have some construction expertise, however, I also specialize in marital advice. Please, please, please, make it a house rule that in games requiring partners, husbands and wives, significant others, and dates are not allowed to be partners.

They will thank you for that rule on the perfectly quiet ride on the way home, believe me.

LOL! I think you're probably right on that.

LOL, at this point in life if I had time to play games I would rather have a nap instead.
