Take your cabinet and countertop samples to the tile store and choose something you like that coordinates with what you have.

Thanks. I've been to a bunch of tile stores and I just can't figure it out. I don't know if it should be dark or light, plain or colorful.

If you want to keep it neutral for resale purposes, either white or gray-ish backsplash would do the trick. Larger tiles mean less grout and maintenance in the long run.

I think that tile would add a lot of much-needed interest to the space. It ties the cabinet and countertop colors together, which is what you want to do. The tile also has a more contemporary look to it that complements the contemporary style of the cabinets. I would also paint the walls a slightly darker color. Maybe a pick up one of the taupe, gray, or beige tones from the tile?

I like you tile choice estiher, it adds a bit of fun motif and playfulness, but it might be too busy if you put it on the entire wall, perhaps you could do a field of plain tiles and use this as an accent strip?
