Not sure. I wallpapered a guest bedroom in a grey and cream grass cloth that yellowed over a short period of time. I have no idea why. It was an expensive paper and, thankfully, the yellowing has not ruined the look of the room, but I'm naturally a bit disappointed. Perhaps if you stay away from the very pale colors it would work well.

I love the look but it has to be in a low traffic area as it doesn't wear well if touched a lot, ie, stairwells, hallways, on walls with light switches etc.

I am the biggest fan of grasscloth. I love the look, but as Lisa said it is not a paper you want to use in a busy area.

mcbmd3, grass cloth, like sisal, fades. When you get tired of the color, paint it. Looks gorgeous!

About 85% of our wallpaper sales are grasscloth. It is classic. There is nothing like having a texture on your walls.
