I like the yellow lamp but I think a bigger one?

the one on the left! There is plenty of room for it, take advantage of the space.

I like the glass/crystal lamps as well. Something about the shape is just better-suited for the space than the stouter yellow lamps.

This won't help, but I like the yellow color and the shape pf the glass one.

Thanks for all the great advice. Really appreciate it! Now - does anyone have any suggestions for what type or colour of artwork should go there? Would a small gallery of a few pieces of artwork or photos look good or one larger piece?

Since the space above the bed is not too large, I would do one painting.

The yellow lamps for sure! As for artwork, 1 piece maybe nature inspired to bring warmth to the room (as does the yellow in the accents)

Way taller. Consider wall-mounted lamps on adjustable swing-arms - great for reading in bed! And they free up valuable space on the nightstand. You could use large nightstands if your budget allows.

It's odd that you have curtains beside the bed, but not on the other windows. Dear, have you created "faux" windows next to your bed? tsk tsk

Sorry both sets of lamps look too small - you need taller more substantial lamps to proportionately feel right in the space especially when the lamps are sitting in front of the drapery panels My suggestions - bring more of that gorgeous vibrant yellow into the space - and yes - add an area rug to repeat that accent colour - it will add such life to your room. Both of these lamps are at least 36 to 42" High, and the base feel substantial to have proper proportion next to the bed, and the drapery panels. A spindley lamp base just won't cut it. Good Luck!

I agree with most of the comments. The yellow is nice but much bigger. I like the lamps found by armygirl and Marie Hebson.

Taller crystal bases with bigger yellow print shades. Like the pattern Marie showed just above. Drama!!

I like the lamps that armygirl recommended but think you might need something a little chunkier like the one Marie suggested.

If you are keeping the drapes behind the lamps, I suggest taller and mirrored.

Scale of first ones is way too small. Love the yellow.

Find a piece of art you love and let the art lead you to the lamp style.

If the window was open in the yellow lamp room like it was in the clear one it would be easier to compare. With the lighting, the clear lamp is more appealing. the room does need yellow touches but the yellow lamps are the wrong shape/size. It takes up too much room on the nightstand and makes the space look smaller and chunky.
