Entrance door needs drama (or something)!!

We painted our 1958 bungalow last summer P&L Diplomat Grey. I love the colour and now it's time for a new front door and step. That is where I am stuck. The windows are relatively new (and very white) so can't justify changing them out just yet but they are very high contrast next to the house body colour. Any suggestions for my front door?
(Sorry this picture is quite dark - hard to get a good light photo this time of year, and yes, lots of snow on and around house). Thanks for looking!!

I would install a thick, English style front door (with the mailbox in it) and paint it a high gloss red. You could then change your garage door to a high gloss black. Put some green plants around the front door to cover up the space left by the high windows and u got street appeal my friend!

I would look for a MCM door with horizontal windows and paint it orange or lime green, some nice taller plants under the higher windows and leave the garage doors the way they are, I never understand hi-lighting garage doors.

I have to agree - I think a red front door would really pop and I love the Diplomat Grey!

Orange or green would not work on the front door. Unless front doors are a bright lime, they look sick and, against the grey, would look dull. Orange never works on house frontages, it is more of an indoor color. You would emphasise this garage door because it is so prominent on the front and the house has square windows, doors and a square garage door. You gotta play with shapes to excite a space!

Garage doors should never be a focal point in my opinion and lime looks great with grey and is always pretty bright.I think orange is a great outdoor color so to each his or her own.

Keeping the garage door as it is extends an otherwise blank space... If you look at it, it looks like one massive wall. Orange and white... Green and white... You cant look at the grey when talking about the door because everyone will be drawn to the brightness of the windows when looking at a bright, stand-out door.

Deffinately a shade of red ought to create soem contrast, perhaps consider a different garage door with windows down the line or one in a wood finish.( roll up of course!)
