The bookcases are a low profile when compared to the fireplace. I don't have a problem with the manner in which you painted your bookcase to the r.s. of the fireplace, however, you will also want to include the area above the bookcase so as to not dwarft it visually. Also, we might want to explore what you have done with the back of the case, vs what might be other options. Your TV is extraordinarily high on the fireplace wall. Perhaps, that is something else that can be addressed. Finally, it's always a good idea to include photos of the rest of your room, as it is equally important to get an overall picture (assessment) of what exists and what could be changed for the better.
