Large piece of art work or wall art not too distracting as comment above

There are a lot of different schemes going on. Pick up on one thing you like the most, flowered ottoman, striped chairs, etc. then find mirror or picture that has similar colors and design of your most favorite piece.

I agree with Newman1958. A large Mirror or a Collection of Mirrors Neutral color frames would be great to add some light to your space. :) Need a Neutral slipcover for the round ottoman. Large Plant and Tall Lamp(s) Competing with each other. Removing Plant would be the better option as lighting is needed in the space. Best of Luck!! :)

Maggie a mirror would be great, but it would be exactly in front of the TV so...

Sometimes just changing the furniture around makes a huge difference. Try the two bookshelves on that wall with three frames (from the lobby) and a small bench. Move the chair angled next to the fireplace and the floor lamp on the other side. You can even try the plant stand (from the hallway) next to the fireplace.

Add some artwork and change the furnishings around. It can make a huge difference. Good luck:)
