Get two pieces of cardboard and some tape. Then climb up a ladder so you can reach the area where the valance will be mounted. Place one piece of cardboard on the left and the other on the right so that the cardboard pieces are perpendicular to the wall with the cardboard corners meeting in the corner of the wall .... the cardboard pieces should be overlapping at this point. Tape the cardboard exactly where it is and you will have made an exact template of the angle of the corner. Use the template to mark your wood for cutting. Make a template for each corner rather than trying to use the same template for all corners... things are never exact in building so you can not count on all the corners being the same. Use "L" brackets to attach to wall. Hope that makes sense! Good luck!
