Please help me bring this basement together!

This is a very "lived in" area of our home. I have 3 teenage boys and their friends practically live at our house. We also do a lot of entertaining and family parties. I've attached before and after and "this is where I'm stuck" photos. I took someone old kitchen cabinets and cut them up, painted, and installed them in an 8x10 area-color is Brickberry by Pittsburgh Paint. Also used some for over our bar area. The whole room is about 700 sq feet. The bar is a warm medium brown Alder wood. Right now the trim is white. The flooring is tile and carpet and both cast a dirty yellow hue (and currently my walls cast at yellow hue too). The tile has browns in it too.
My goal is to go with a "modern classic" look bringing blues browns and reds together with maybe greens and stone colors. I will paint the table and old Stromberg-Carlson hi-fi radio/record player (if my hubby is ok with it) I had thought of putting a counter top on it and using it for a pub table.
Built ins are also a must for sports memorabilia. I would greatly appreciate help with wall color, back splash, built in design, color for painted furniture ideas please :)
Footnote: I only have one sunk in window well for natural light (virtually none) so I must work with the can lights in the ceiling
