Tree growth

Won't the structure distort as the trees grow? I've always wondered about this aspect of nailing into a living tree.

We used a slotted stainless steel plate that we bolted into it that allows the bolts (or lag screws) to expand for a certain amount of time. Eventually we would need to move the slotted plate.

The pro using spec heavy dutty bolts and tree house is sitting on those with distance from tree it self. It is better to build on slow grow trees too. Cedar or pepper tree. This is really pretty tree house !
