Hey there, We have used pavers around a few of our pools. Their roughness has rarely been a customer complaint although some pavers can be a little uneven for some types of outdoor furniture. The biggest challenge with pavers around a pool is the sand used to lock them together. Sand can be difficult to clean out of a pool. We recommend using a polymeric sand to help reduce this possibility because it has a bonding agent that helps hold it together once it has become wet.
