Quick answer? You probably can't. Sometimes what you do with a window depends, for example, on what furniture is near it. It's part of the entire picture. You should at least work out how you want to place the furniture in each room, what colours it would be, and what general style it would be, before you even consider the windows. If you need emergency privacy on any windows, I'd suggest putting in plain, neutral blinds that tone with the walls. Not too big an expense and they will very often work well with drapery.
