Yes, and I would mount the rod closer to the ceiling. Is that a bamboo blind of sorts in the last window? If you had matching blinds made for all the windows and doors they could be mounted right underneath the rod, which would camouflage the fact that they are different heights as well as make your ceilings appear taller. I would skip the sheers in favor of something more solid, perhaps a velvet or a linen and I would make sure the curtains are full enough to take up the wall space in between the windows and doors.

Completely agree. Raise the rods up to say halfway between ceiling and top of window frame. Also agree about the roman bamboo shade. Then get more solid panels for the individual windows. Check Pottery Barn website for ideas. Good luck.

The blinds are the old fabric shades from the late eighties. In good shape mostly, except sooo ugly. Already removed them. Love the bamboo shade idea and the thicker curtains!! Thank you so much!!!
