I've been debating for months on how to handle this strange opening and install a door. I recently remodeled and now have to put a door where it butts right up against the wall (the left opening of the picture with the two openings). I've debated putting a track/barn door but fear it will look strange that the rail will not extend past the door. I can't put trim on the door because it will be uneven. I really want the doors to look balanced. A pocket door is out of the question because the walls are pure concrete/CBS. How would you go about this?
