How do keep it comfortable with extreme climates changes?

I love this. I love everything about it. I do wonder about the lack of insulation? I know to do this will require sheetrock. And that will interfere with the character of this room. But what do you do about extreme temperatures? You get extreme cold up there while down in Texas we get extreme heat. How do you compensate so your guest not only gets a unique cottage guestroom but also one that is tolerable? Thanks

Well, the cottage is really meant for one season - summer. What you cannot see is the little bathroom that is attached. It is enclosed on three sides but has no roof. It is a novelty. Quirky, but that makes it fun. I think you could achieve a similar look by insulating sheetrocking and then covering the sheetrock with reclaimed barn-board.
