Hi. The first thing I'd do is change the wallpaper on the back of the kitchen dresser to something like the one on the left below. You really can't make this room work with that pink and green, in my opinion. Then I would simplify what you keep in the dresser: nothing on top, a few well-selected items on the shelves. In fact, the style of the dresser doesn't really go with the rest of the room, but I think it could be made to work in an eclectic sorta way.

I'd like to see the green below brought into the room with a cushion or two, mixed with cream.

I like the cream shade on the lamp, but it needs to be taller, as in the picture. One tall lamp is enough, I think. (I've also brought your picture down a bit.)

I like the trunks but they're much too crowded in there. Can you move the chairs apart a bit, or alternatively find a place against the wooden wall for them?

I rather like the round aluminum (is it really?) table -- it's fun and it links this part of the room with the dining area, especially the chandelier.

I'd replace the blue velvet chair with something simpler, more in style with the room, such as the one below from Wayfair.

I'd suggest that little topiary should go. If you have another place for that what? speaker?, the trunks might look good there. You don't need to put anything on them, just let them be used as a sidetable for the occasional chair.

You don't need any more pattern, I think. The curtains are lovely and add that dimension.

And that's quite enough from me.

I'm getting rid of the blue chair. I have a cream club chair on order with a navy and brown design. That is a speaker that goes with the surround sound so I can't remove that. Again thank you for your ideas!

If you are sticking to the present colour scheme, here are some pillow ideas. Start with something neutral in creams and then introduce another colour like orange very subtly

first.....love the cladded wall and the bleu....and i like the tv room being at an angle...for the lampshade and pillows... here are some for you....

@Carole I love your ideas! All of them! I chose to angle my furniture because the room is long and rectangular and I didn't want to make it feel more "boxy" than it already is.

Other orange accent suggestions for the room:

I think you could do burlap outer curtains with breezy sheer white curtains and it would look really cool with your amazing wood accent wall. I agree the furniture arrangement is a bit quirky, and think a more geometric shape would look better. I would also move the lamp from behind the couch and put it on your small side table. You've done a really amazing job coordinating the wood, the couches, the rug, the beautiful accent chair, I love it! I agree that a yellow quilted look could look really cool. Good luck!

looks nice,liked the room better when it was on the diagonal,but i can see the benefitt with this lay-out,its neat and your wall is much more the focal point,and it showcases your lovely bleu chair..which i all love...yes,the floorlamp is a little high compared to the other lamp,so if you are looking for new lamps that is a good way to find out what you want to put there instead?....are you happy with the room and do you think it needs more color?and what has happend with the hutch?has it just moved to the other side of the room?

@carole I liked it diagonal to but thought I should try it this way. I do like it this way but in actuality it doesn't feel bigger. I am glad I moved the corner hutch. I had no where else to put it so now it's in the garage. I went out and bought some pillows and lamps and I will post some pics tomorrow. I also received a phone call telling me my chair is on it's way from Arkansas. Can't wait.

I like your floor lamp and have recently been convinced by Houzz that taller table lamps are better in a lot of instances.

Can you get extra drapery panels and extend your drapes and rods so that they expose the full window? This way, you windows look bigger, you get more light and the look is far more luxurious.

i like these,1 classic or 1 contempory but not too ornate or 3 the same / 3 different shapes,i cant say,i think either will look good...

That's funny I do have a small little mercury owl on my dining table. I found my rug at Home Depot. They have great prices on their rugs. It's so thick and soft. I love it!

You still need something brighter, I would make the tray a very bright color and add a small pillow of the same color on the loveseat to pull it together. That's my eclectic mind going.
