Yes, float the camel chairs instead of pushing them up against the wall. This will create a cozier conversation area with the sofa, and easier TV viewing from the chairs. It will also create a passageway behind the chairs for entering the fireplace area. The striped chair may be one too many chairs. Can it fit in the fireplace area? Please try putting the TV stand flat on the wall across from the sofa and see if the striped chair will fit next to it by the window. It's difficult for me to tell with out being there! As far as a rug is concerned you need either a 9 x 12 or a 10x14. The camel chairs should be at least half way onto the rug, if possible. Since you have all solids (and one striped chair) in the room the rug should have either pattern or texture. A favorite carpet manufacturer is Robertex and they have great subtle patterns for a room like yours. They can make a custom sized rug for you with a serged edge to finish it.
