What gives the railings support?

    The railing is directly supported by the treads, which in turn are supported by a central steel beam.

      Simple and great staircase. Love this.. Can you kindly let me know the thickness and height of the railing rods. Also the gap between each railing rod. Thanks a lot in advance..

      Thanks so much! The pickets are square, 1/2" x 1/2" steel, spaced 3" apart, and are 3 feet tall.

      Thanks a lot for the response. Just one more question.. What is the dimension (width and thickness) of the wooden plank on top of the railing. I am planning to have the same railing in my house..

      The cap is 2" x 3/4". Good luck with your project!
