You can, but it will make your trim disappear. Trim is nice because it frames out the doors, windows and rooms. But I'll bet there are pictures of just what you're proposing in Houzz--just use the search box and look at Ideabooks and Photos. Then you'll know if you like the look before even buying a can of paint!
