TV wall doesn't need anything besides a TV to look at! I agree throw pillows would add a lot to the space, and I would add a throw rug, and an ottoman or coffee table when the budget allows. After you have a long talk with your husband that keeping the molding that color is just mean!, I really don't think the color of your walls is helping your cause - too yellow. Either take it warmer cream tone or gray. As for budget conscious curtains, find what you know you like in high end and look for comparable. I found some that I love at home goods, but quality is hit or miss. Target? Ebay?
