I guess anything is possible but I would be looking for something that already has that type of connection I think this will always look like it was jerry rigged.Something like the pic that already hangs by chains then you just rewire longer and add longer chain doesn't really change the look or look like you tried and missed.

Piker, the fixture you like (unless markedly different from similar constructions) hangs the lights on flexible cable. An electrician should be able to re-wire each light with a longer cable to achieve whatever effect you want. If you go that route, given the number of lights and height of your ceiling, consider three different lengths for an effect that places the lights at different heights in a wider band. I do not think you would be happy with the existing fixture with its ceiling plate suspended from chains--don;t recommend it.

If you don't have to have the mason jar look, and would do blown or fused glass pendants, we make a variety of pendant styles that can be made with wires long enough for your ceiling. However, not sure how long the fixture shown is, but if going over a table, the bottom of this should be around 30"-36" from the top of the table...so with 12ft ceilings minus 30" for the table height, you'll need something around 6ft-7ft in length. We also make our wires adjustable so you're able to get the length you need.

Lowes has one that is similar...I believe it has a 72" adjustable length...
