I would look for the deepest tub you can find -- look at the overflow depth, not just actual tub dimensions. Preferably cast iron since they hold heat better. Also, make certain it is comfortable to sit in (shape of back). Finally, consider one with a slip resistant floor.

I would keep in mind the users before going "as deep as possible". A really tall tub will be tough for some to step over, or get in & out of.

I think a high quality acrylic is a better choice. My opinion & what I sell day in and day out.

I have a choice of a soaker or jetted tub it's going to be Acrylic bold ruler something 5 ft. We are having a new house build and they lady from the bath store said the acrylic is easy to keep clean and the jets aren't real loud. I am trying to decide and most people here say soaker but alot of those comments are from a couple years ago or longer so maybe they are better now. I know this is an old thread 2 but I see where you mentioned Acrylic Carol and said what you sell every day. What is more poular now jetted/soaker? Thanks!

I heard that and I love bubble baths too! But I am having a Tub/Shower combo in our hall bath. The lady from our bath store said you can put a little bubble bath in the Acrylic type I have a choice of but I am not sure. I just figured get Jetted to try but I have never had so I don't know what I am missing and I figured if I got it I don't have to use the Jetts so I guess I have to make a decision quickly. Our hall bath and the stand up shower in the master are in they are inserts so I need to pick tub out this week. But thanks for your opinion maybe I will just do soaker but I feel like if I want bubble bath use other tub try jetted don't have to use. I am on the fence on deciding. Thanks!
