Thanks for your question. It's difficult to see from the photo what colors are in the rug but that would a good place to start. Perhaps, a green or a chamois color from the rug might coordinate with the chocolate and give you more possibilities. However, the lightness of the paint is appealing in the photo. What you might consider would be adding some great contemporary art work that picks up more vibrant colors or adding a window treatment in a geometric pattern that pulls in the chocolate walls in the living room to give a unified look.
