We are just completing a second story addition and decided to use a vinyl shake on the upper level to complement siding on the lower level. I'm at a loss on what to do with the color for the bump outs and band. I think white might break up the house too much. I am considering painting the bump outs the same color as the upper level and the band the same color as the lower to keep things consistent. The two vertical corners in white on the upper level above the front door will also be painted to blend with the upper level as will the trim on the upper level right side. The windows are white vinyl -so we are stuck with white trim around them. We also just installed oil rubbed bronze gutters (not shown). Thoughts on bump out and trim colors? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
