My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What type/thickness of steel is this and how does it wrap corner? Thx

    HR= Hot Rolled Mild Steel. The gauge (thickness) is .10 gauge or 125".
    It has been treated w/ a hand rubbed Acid Patina- and later "conditioned" to blend
    the oxidized effect to a uniformity- and then clear powdercoating.
    The VErtical-floor-to-ceiling Edge(s) is a separate
    custom made "trim-strip" I fabricated & Installed.
    Simple in appearance- NOT so simple to "do" !

    How is the steel applied to the fireplace without nails? My contractor says that steel is very heavy and he's reluctant to apply without nail heads for safety reasons. I don't want the nail head look - I like the look you achieved.
