I have a hillside of sandstone in my driveway it's the first thing you see when driving up to the house. What can I plant here? Nothing wants to grow and the gophers are breeding like mice and eating almost everything beautiful I've tried. How they travel thru this soil I'll never understand it's more rock than soil. Back to landscaping it, help! I've given it some character by placing rail road ties in the bank along with some torch Lillie's that seem to do well,some ground cover is taking hold but the majority of ground is bare dirt , ugly! I've put in steps to get up to the top, a raised garden bed, I have acacia trees at the top an oak tree but still deal with bare dirt and mud in winter. Any ideas are welcome. Judy
