What is the flooring in this picture? Is it laid in a certain way to give this effect?

The flooring is reclaimed oak barrel and was laid in a herringbone pattern.

I hate to be a "stickler" but the photo shows a Chevron Pattern.

Don't mean to sound like a wise guy.

Both are great patterns and gaining in popularity.

@Patterson is that floor stained or oiled? It does look nice with the chevron pattern.

I apologize, I must have looked too quickly at the flooring. I'll double check to see if it is stained or oiled.
