I would not paint the wall where the TV is.

Before we talk about paint, let's talk about where the TV will go when you remove the wall it's on now. I assume it will have to go on the wall that is currently eggplant that is opposite the couch.

Rather than paint another wall eggplant, I think I would un-paint the current eggplant wall and paint all walls in the room the same. I'd also get lighter--both in color and in weight--curtains and remove most of the stuff from the walls. The room feels overstuffed.

You can use your eggplant in throws and pillows and have a much lighter, more airy look.

If you like accent walls as I do, go for it. I find having some color in my house makes it more cheerful.
