I think you have the furniture well arranged. I would pull the rug forward under the sofa so the chair sits just on the edge. I would also move the chair closer to the sofa and move the plant behind the chair so there is nothing between chair and sofa. I like the plants, BTW. They add a great sense of drama to the room.

Finally, big art over the couch. This one doesn't have exactly the right aspect ratio--I'd prefer it to be longer and shorter--but the mood and colors seemed so perfect, I had to put it in your room.
