Ugh! I am in the middle of the same process and it is overwhelming. There are so many options. I have narrowed mine down somewhat (finally). I agree…..if you have pics to post it would really help.

It depends on your budget. Quartz to match your counter tops would be nice, but expensive. You could also apply glass tiles - often overlooked by designers. They are affordable, washable and beautiful. If you want something inexpensive, easy to install and something that you could change whenever you like you should consider these backsplash tiles. What you need to do is to figure out what look you're going for, and then narrow it down to what appeals to you. Think of it as clothes shopping. Depending on your age, body shape and weight, there are some clothes that you don't even consider so they're off the table. From there you decide what you're looking for, look through the selections picking those that are likely candidates. After you try them on to see if they fit properly and look good, you have to decide which one you like best since with our illustration you can only have one backsplash.

Take a while and go through tile online. Check out the Glass Tile Store as well as thetileshop.com for ideas. When you find a few possibilities, you need to get samples so you can see if they work with your cabinets, countertop, floor and wall color. Don't feel it's a waste of money to buy a sq ft of each one so you can live with it for a while.
