We purchased this home from my in laws estate. It is essentially a 3 bedroom rambler raised for flood protection on Lake Pepin of the Mississippi River in Minnesota on a large wooded lot with fantastic views and 250 ft of lakeshore. It was built 12mYears ago when the original cottage was destroyed in a flood. I'm looking for ways to make it fit into the landscape and not stick out like a sore thumb. The deck will probably be rebuilt as it was improperly flashed and som rot issues on the house in that area have to be addressed. The road side has a smaller but similar deck for the other entrance. I am not in a hurry and able to tackle one project at a time and expect my adult children and grandchildren to enjoy this property for years or even generations.
