My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Anyone ever heard of Todd Manring Designs? (He was on Nate Berkus last year:) Look him up at www.toddmanring.etsy.com--- he makes all kinds of custom barn doors, anything you could want. GORGEOUS!

Yes, I have heard of Todd Manring Designs. I ordered a desk and file cabinet from him (at a cost of approximately $2500) on September 15, 2015 and still have not received it as of February 16, 2016. Communication has been poor and when asked repeatedly for a realistic shipment date, I have received one excuse after another. I'm sure his work is lovely and will report back, that is, if I ever receive it.
