Lighting ideas...

Hello,

We have several of these light boxes around the house. We're looking for a quick/cheap way to replace them ourselves until we go through some more through renovations and replace ceilings and such. Maybe something that will look a bit more modern... Any ideas?

A flush mount square ceiling fixture will run you a chunk of change. By the time you are done with several you will be out a few hundred dollars. That's money you could put toward redoing the ceiling.

One idea would be to put wood trim with crown molding around the lights. Do you still have the glass covers? You can easily cut the trim then set the glass inside.
