Those 2'x2'x2" concrete tiles are about $40 each at our local lumber yard. Cedar Decking is about $18 per Square Foot. The framing costs more for the tiles vs the decking because for the tile framing, the joists need to be doubled at the end of each tile and one joist in the middle. Also the joists in the Tile Framing need to be larger for the weight. In summary, the tile and framing costs about $5-$10 more per square foot than a Cedar Deck

Thank you for the info. We've had several customers ask about them, but haven't installed any as of yet. They look great with that railing system.

Just take in consideration that after a few months or the next Spring, some of the tiles may need to be shimmed because the joist will dry. We also planed the joist before adding the tiles so they would all sit level. The deck project looks the same now as it did a few years ago, turned out great!!

Yes it does look great, and would love to drive our customers to look at your website, the next time they do ask about them. My husband, whom is the owner/builder of Thomas Decks, was very impressed and we both thought it was a new build.
