I think I like the gray because it goes with your nickel/silvery finishes. Pretty table, I don't think a dining table can ever really be too dark.

thanks for the response. i know i am safe with the calvin klein prairie silver tone rug but will my place look cold? Especially under white sofa? Do you think the city splash tan clashes with the nickel finish which is in kitchen?

Gray is updated and very nice - I personally have a lot of it. I do however think that tan-ish colors can warm up a space; it depends the look you wish to go for. Your artwork looks contemporary, which lends itself to the grey. I probably would pick the grey but would offset the coolness with some warmer colored pillows, throws,or accessories. I do think you could do the tan rug, (don't think it clashes) but that seems to lend itself to a little more color in the room. I definitely agree with Becky...dining table can never be too dark.

Thank you! i have only had the black and grey shag under couch for 1 month and i do not like it because its cold. thats why i am afraid of the silver/grey .i will probably replace the art work.
