The original first, second and attic floors were 1809 sf (1468 w/out the attic). The new first, second and attic floors are 3055 sf (2478 w/out the attic). The majority of the addition was to the rear, but it was also expanded to the left. If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you can see the before photo.

Thanks- so we are basically working with the same footprint for the original house minus about 100 square feet. I am unable to see the before picture, but I will continue to try. Also would it be possible to see a photo of the left side of the house? My husband isn't sold on the look of that side- having a visual might sway him, as I'm thinking that's where the screened in side of the porch too? Other than the beautiful tower room you have photographed, how else is the third floor utilized? Thanks again!!

The third floor viewing tower is at the top of the stairs, and behind it is a bonus rec room with a bar area. I hope this helps!

We don't like to share our clients renovation costs, but I can tell you that our typical projects are around $200/sf. This project was a full house renovation in addition to adding square footage, so the full cost is much different than just building an addition. Good luck with your home!

Thank you very much Sir for your response. I'm assuming the 200/sqft is for the new addition but does that also pertain to the existing space that was being renovated or is that typically a little cheaper?

It really depends on how much work is being done. In our typical full interior renovations, the $200/sf ends up being accurate, but can sometimes be more like $150/sf.
