Double doors may be nice but please make sure they are consistent with mid-century design.

Another option is to keep a single door, but replace the side and transom windows with frosted glass, and update your storm door.

For MCM, this is the classic double door front entry

I think the double doors would be very MCM, as Denita's pics demonstrate. Would look great - from the outside. But consider how you'll feel about losing that natural light. If you get enough from the transom (and you should be able to tell now, with the plywood up) then go for it. Otherwise I think the glass blocks could be done tastefully. My favorite aunt had an oh-so-MCM house when I was little- your house looks just like it. She had double doors.

I would not use glass block due to the aesthetics. Stay with clear or satin etch glass. Here is the new custom front door at our Lake Forest Park mid century renovation.

HI -- Glass block is really not right for this style house . Double doors or a single door with a textured (reeded) glass side window would be suitable .
