The easiest and most satisfying quick fixes to bathrooms are to paint and to change your linens.

I say paint the walls and take down the border and window treatment, then go get some different towels and maybe a bathmat and shower curtain (if you have a rod).

It makes a huge difference without much effort.

It sounds like you are just like me, I also love switching things up in my home as often as possible. I would def take down the border but I don't think it's such a bad idea to keep the paint color white (def a good choice for us comitment phobes). I def would have a lot of fun with the linens and bath mat- you should check out anthropologie and urban outfitters for some fun and unique looks. I agree with Emily that you should take down that window treatment and I would also switch the lighting to something a bit more exciting. it looks like you have a big vanity with a lot of counter space so I might also take down the hand towel rack if there are two sinks and buy (at home goods or even bed bath and beyond) a stand alone double towel ring that sits on the counter top (again perfect for a commitment phobe). You might consider a woven shade for additional privacy and texture.

I had a woven shade at one time but it made the only window too dark

I just found this photo and thought of you. If you don't need the window treatment for privacy since it looks like it's a frosted window.
