All espresso may make the kitchen feel like it is looming above you with it going all the way up onto the upper cabinets. Consider using espresso on your lower cabinets and white on the uppers. Painting your walls something other than white will make both your white cabinets and the deep espresso cabinets stand out. Could be very pretty.

There are other colors besides brown and off- white for kitchens....

What about Red?
Green?
Grey?
Blue?

White would look beautiful with that floor color. Espresso will not contrast well with the floor.. If it were me I would do White or White with 2 parts Black and stain or add a dark glase to match the floor on the 3" reveal just below the crown molding. Thought I would come back to add a picture of the idea I was recommending. Didn't have it handy yesterday. As you can see, the deep espresso lower cabinets of this island look very pretty with a dark floor like you have. The white upper cabinets make the kitchen feel light and bright.
