False drawers: pulls or no pulls?

Should false drawers in front of kitchen sink and bathroom sink have pulls? Will they poke you in the abdomen when you are using the sinks?

Hi there! I have functional pulls in front of my kitchen sink. I open the panel to access a small shelf where I can keep scouring pads, etc. So, to answer your question - no, the pulls do t interfere in any way. I would assume this would be the same with pulls under the bathroom sink.

I have visited many houses where the pulls are a constant frustration - for visitors. But that aside, the drawer might look oddly out of place to lack what every other cupboard and drawer has.

Since this will be a custom piece, I am thinking of taking the false drawers out completely and having a flat wooden band replace it. It would all be painted the same color (white). What do you think?

I would not add pulls to something that doesn't open, personally. I don't see the point, as it's just confusing to everyone that doesn't know already that it's fake. I like smooth fronts to sinks, because it does poke me when it's not smooth.

I'm not sure how these pulls could be in your way - I just checked and my pulls stick out no further than the countertop overhang.
