Mountain inspired Rustic.

Type - Warm and inviting.
Style - Prairie, Craftsman, Shingle, Arts & Craft, and many more.

An authentic style, not some NeoEcclectic mashup. Adding tapered stone columns and gable end braces doesn't create a Craftsman home. It only creates disharmony from the incorrect massing and inauthentic details. Homes have become ''floorplans''disconnected from their surroundings, with only a token bone thrown at a style that they can never hope to achieve. So, you get Neo French Country blobs of hip roofs next to Neo Victorian blobs with way more than 7 gables, and Neo Georgians with 4 car garages that dominate the entire facade. The worst offenders re the Neo Craftsmen with their hiphuggers of above the water table fake stone cladding and the combinination of every busy looking exterior material under the sun. Once upon a time, even simple worker cottages for those in factory towns had some grace and authenticity to them. Not any more.
