Cedar Shakes

This home is exquisite. Are the shakes at the top James Hardie as well? If so, can you please share the style and color? We're preparing to re-side our home, which is currently sided with cedar shakes. Love the look but unfortunately the woodpeckers do too!

Can you tell me what color staining you used for the cedar shakes? It is beautiful and we just bought a house that needs the cedar power washed and stained and we love the natural look!

I would love to know the stain color for the cedar shake, as well. This is a beautiful home! Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the late reply. I will have to check with the contractor. I don't know the actual brand of stain that was used. But, it was a a clear-coat, if that helps.

Also, please do not power-wash your cedar shakes. This is the advice of the Western Red Cedar Lumber Association.

I'm sorry, the paint contractor no longer has the information on the stain that was used. But, I believe it is likely it was the Sikkens brand. Perhaps the ProLuxe line.

This appears to be Sikkens ProLuxe SRD Natural (078). Beautiful combination of colors - and we love how the stones tend to reflect the blue found in the siding.
