Kohler thunder gray bathroom

We are building our dream home which will over look a lake. 1620 sq. foot walk out bungalow.
I am not sure about a thunder grey Kohler bath tub, toilet, and sink in the basement. We will have a urinal that will be white. Will this colour show all the water marks etc.? I am still undecided If I should or go with white.
Will this colour be to dark to work with? I'm not a decorator but I was wanting something totally different from the main floor which will be all white winks & toilets. Has any one put a different colour in for sinks tubs etc.?
If I choose this colour will it make it hard to pick tiles and paint?

Thunder Gray is a great color. It is definitely not one of those colors that will seem dated. Check out this picture of a thunder gray. It looks great. Its all about context.

Go back to white, it's timeless. Decorate with color around it. That color is nice but will eventually be dated and you will hate those words "it's dated"

Think the basement would be fun with colored fixtures. Most people are afraid to make a bold choice and the one you're leaning towards is still rather neutral.

I've said this on other threads and people sure have strong opinions! But my in-laws did grey fixtures in their second bathroom 17 years ago and the bathroom still looks great. I think it is one way to get a little style in an otherwise ordinary space without breaking the bank on expensive tiles or fixtures.

Though at some point the shade of grey that is in style will change. That's the point at which people will say "looks dated" but who cares you are not leaving your dream home any time soon so do what makes you happy.

Get white if you think the basement will have spiders.

If it's dark it most likely will show water spots. But how for it if you don't mind the maintenance. Go lighter for floors and wall color. Grays would work. Then add a accent color in towels and accessories.

I've had and have black Kohler sinks in both my powder room and kitchen and still love them! Never a problem cleaning & the black never showed spots. (also have black toilet). In fact, one must remember to clean them as nothing shows! I'm here because I'm thinking about Thunder Grey sinks in our kitchen reno as I miss my black sink in my last home. I was talked into white kitchen sink in the house we now live in (we built it 25 yrs ago). I've regretted that decision ever since so trying to avoid white again. I miss the drama of the black but new kitchen can't have black sinks but the Thunder Grey picks up the veining in the Super White Quartzite slabs we've bought. Hope all went well with your basement bathroom. Pls show us photos!

Thanks for responding.

After reading up on lots of reviews we went with white. I don't regret the style I went with, as I will accent with bright towels and pictures to brighten up the bathroom. What is a nice feature in our home is we put two urinals in one up and down stairs. It is a big hit with the men and of course the ladies.

I will take pictures soon and will post.
