I have always know that my style or lack thereof, was not in stride with that of my friends and family. While I liked their carefully decorated homes, I didn't want that for my house. I wanted to use the great vintage desk I'd refinished and painted teal blue in a "desk" space in my den. I have a gold transitional sofa in there, but that's okay with me, or, maybe it shouldn't be. I have some great art I would like to use in my dining room, but it seems like I shouldn't put it with the mission style furniture (which I really don't care for) that's in the room. But, I kind of don't care because I think the art would be great with the light that room gets. Consequently, I do nothing which frustrates me just as much as trying to do it the 'right" way.
